An integrated SQL-based relational database for user, accounting, and statistics data means that there is no dependence on third party database software or its associated server. This eliminates additional cost, installation, configuration, and support issues.

If you configure CASSIE for patron patron authentication from your ILS system or another data source, the internal database is used to store data specific to CASSIE. The data in your ILS system or data source is never modified by CASSIE.

A snapshot backup function creates an alternate image of the database automatically on a daily basis, providing extra assurance that the data is safe. The snapshot backups are maintained for a configurable period of time. A restore function allows you to recreate the database from an earlier backup, should the need arise.
