Flexible Implementation
Implement SPOT Intelligent HotSpot as a gateway to manage all patron device sessions, or as a sideline system for accepting patron print jobs only.
Patron Authentication
You may optionally require patrons to sign in to your network, with their credentials automatically authenticated against your specified data source (e.g. ILS). Protocols supported are SIP, III Patron API, LDAP, ODBC or standalone database. Native encryption is available for all connections to ensure the security of your patron data, which is especially important for hosted ILS systems. Guest accounts are available for occasional or out-of-town users.
Print Management
Patrons print in a single step using the native printing capability within their device's OS, without the need for apps, PDF conversion, uploading to a website or emailing files. This process is so easy, patrons can do it without any help from your staff. Learn more...
